bbc news commission

Recently Fully Focused won the first external commission from BBC London News

The brief was to create a 2-3 minute news report on youth related Knife Crime from a young person’s perspective. With support from News Reporter Ayshea Buksh we produced, directed, filmed and edited the report.
As well this, the report was presented by key FF member Alex Simpson and we kept all interviews within our team. We also managed to keep full editorial control and to assist in this process, we were given the opportunity to cut the piece at the BBC London News HQ in Oxford Circus. This was a great experience and insight into how fast the turn around for news reports is! Although we dealt with a negative subject in our report, we felt that we handled it in a sensitive and positive way.

We are all very proud that exactly what we put together is what was broadcast on the 1.30pm and 6.30pm BBC London News on BBC1. For us this is a true example of youth voice amplified and this is exactly why we do what we do!

Above is our report, pre BBC branding and titling.
